Realize your cycling potential
Johnston Racing
mountain bike coaching
Coach Johnston specializes in coaching for off-road cyclist. Andy works with all levels of athlete from pros down, and also has expanded into the ultra-distance athletes. His work with junior cyclist has generated great results. Instruction goes beyond just workouts; he incorporates all aspects of the cyclist life into his method.
Your first lesson will be how to pedal a bike, then you progress into specific skills, nutritional and workout lessons which will expand your cycling horizons.
Skills are hands on lessons, while the workouts are posted using an online software that emails you each day with your workout. You, as the athlete, are able to use the software to upload you workouts and comments to the coach.
It is best to start with a coach in the off-season preceding the next season, but athletes can be brought on anytime.
Planning begins in the off-season by determining goals, race priorities and scheduling weekly hours. The training will be customized to your specific needs and abilities. The ultimate goal is to maximize your abilities as a cyclist and get the results you want.
Coach Andy is also for single day clinics, instruction or other.
Coaching local athletes from the southeast is the most ideal. Seeing your coach is important. Spots for 2012 are available now, and using a power meter is strongly recommended.
